All side mount stair treads are manufactured using 65 x 5mm thick side plates with 14mm holes and slots, for bolting to customer designed and supplied stringers using 12mm or 1/2" fasteners.

The stair treads are of a solid structural frame/support construction with an additional expanded metal mesh tread surface, which is NCC/BCA (and Australian Standards tested) slip resistant compliant.  The actual tested classification of the tread surface is:

• P5/R13 for mild steel treads.
• P5/R12 for hot dip galvanised treads.

This makes them suitable for all dry and/or wet area use.  The tread surface is conveniently folded around the nosing of the stair tread, eliminating the requirement for an additional non slip nosing attachment.

Load testing of our stair treads has also been carried out with deflections well within the Australian Standards.

Available in 4 different tread depths and 5 standard widths, to suit virtually any application.

Stair treads can be supplied in a Hot Dip Galvanised finish that has outstanding corrosion protection in most weather conditions, and can also be supplied in raw (black) mild steel for custom surface treatment options by the user.
